Hi Chris,
It's a C++ program that does the following things at present.
* connects to a TTYUSB* port (barcode scanner is usb based and is found
on
the system when doing lspci call.
* Downloads (displays to the screen via a terminal) all barcodes stored.
* Not sure if it checks and sets the date/time of the scanner.
What I'd like it to do is to connect via ttyS or via rfcomm ports via
bluetooth.
The scanner is an OPN2002 which is made by Opticon and is CS1504 symbol based
scanner.
I'm pretty sure that after I manually pair the scanner I'm not "wiring" the BT
side up properly but then I don't know as I cannot interrigate the scanner
unless i use some commands (which the cs1504 has in it's internals).
what I'd like to add to the program is to read via BT and do a date time reset
if it's out from the computer device.
I can easily redirect the output so it can be written to a file.
Derek Smithies seems to be interested in helping, I can send you a copy of the
program if you'd like to look it over.
Finally I'd be happy to send the resulting code back to the original author
for him to patch his code on github.
the search on github is for cs1504 or add the word symbol and the program is a
C++ program I've found it to be 1st or 2nd on the list and think the author is
Russian.
Dave.
