I have used a really good quality mains filter since ages ago on my gear
.. makes for happy electronic times .. audio sounds better too :)

We're still having to look into that. I know we do get mains noise,
like you sometimes hear spikes from people flicking switches coming
through speakers in different peoples rooms, but I had expected that
to be filtered/smoothed out by the DSL powerblock.
We certainly don't have our lights flicker.
Do you notice light fliker? Does running it off a backup power supply make any
diference?
No backup power supply to test, but would be interesting.
Strangely, sometimes it happens when everyone in the house is awake,
and other times, it happens when the whole house is asleep.
