Davin,
I suspect you haven't had much exposure to other operating
*nix systems.
To this end *I* strongly suggest to get to a *nix meeting on
a Wednesday nite.
This will do a couple of things....
1. you will get help with you're current problem
1.1 You may just get to understand somethings that you
currently don't understand
about the OS you do have.
2. You will reduce peoples feeling of frustration with
you're apparent not following suggested paths to fix you're
problem (remember it's your issue not ours), Folk here are
more than willing to help or suggest ways to fix something
_BUT_ YOU will be required from time to time to do you're
part (ie take actions suggested to help the helper to help
you fix you're problem).
3. Provide any and all info in you're initial posting,
things like make, model, chipset of the offending item,
provide us with ideas of what you have tried and the
results.
turn up this Wednesday I'm sure the members who turn up will
get things sorted quick smart and you'll wish you'd had
turned up earlier.
Dave.
