Install in windows http://neosmart.net/EasyBCD/#comparison
Install Linux distro into partition 4, don't write boot to MBR/GPT option, only
partition (non-efi option should be fine)
Once install completed add it via EasyBSD in windows system to add the boot
entry to the Windows loader for your distro.
I don't know that this will work, as a 5th partition is needed for swap
(and a 6th etc for any extra *nix installs) so you have to set up an
extended partition that doze doesn't recognise.
i.e. #1 is doze boot/recovery partition, 2 is Win7 (that at least
promises user support until 2020 without further charging) and 3 is
Win10 in this case (to see what it offers / ties up, e.g. even a game of
cards is logged for online data these days). So GRUB MBR is set up from
Mint on partition 4, to get all this running interchangeably and with swap.
I prefer a generic setup for a workshop/multi OS system... efi true windows
mode is only for driver signatures etc stopping malware loading as it won't be
signed by the signature in the Windows UFI startup detection crap.
There are no hard-drive benefits re chipset features/performance going UFI, and
GPT partitions are what you need to go beyond 2TB natively which is not a ufi
requirement...
Keep it simple!

Miles, no complaint here. We have options. But whether it's $100, $x or
$xx per annum to M$, the point is that the business model looks likely
to be changing and with no choice for most.
Whereas initially you could buy a PC or O/S software off the shelf,
usually together, you always got your own O/S copy on install media to
go with the licence. Then they stopped selling you install media with
the licence. Next you won't even be getting the licence - just a lease
arrangement?!
So let's get this clear. Future M$ users can next be stopped from
'buying' (owning) their own PC hardware, as manufacturer UEFI will be
able to lock it to Windoze as a lease. It is at least a potential from
UEFI, say the specs.
I think we do need to be keeping the community-owned O/S software
(freedom) message alive, and more actively in front of people now.
Cheers
Rik
