As a workaround, have you tried the --ignore-certificate-errors flag?
Just as an aside, both these sites work fine on my machine:
google-chrome Version 48.0.2564.116 (64-bit), CentOS 7.
Is your machine patched up to date??? It could be local intermediate
certs being out of date.
