Hi all,
Things are progressing well with the Chch Conference Bureau in creating
a bid document.
I think the next step is to formally ask for people who wish to be part
of the organising committee for LCA to step forward. We'll need to get
together to create the conference, with support for Linux Australia, to
make it an awesome time. If you've been to one of these conferences
before you'll be aware of the great atmosphere that goes with it.
Here's a rough overview of dates:
* May - The Council formally requests bids for LCA.
* June - The Council works with teams to help them prepare their bids,
answering any questions.
* July - Submission of formal bids closes.
* July-August - The Council clarifies any questions regarding the bids
and reviews them
* September - The Council visits potential teams.
* October - The Council decides on the winning city and informs the
bidding teams.
