Hi-ho..

I was more looking to solve the hashed background issue which is VNC / X
starting without a window manager, I copy'n'pasted that from my own wiki
notes.

For tigervnc -localhost no (from the man page) should fix the local host
only issue.

For what it's worth I look after a lot of remote/cloud stuff and spend a
few hours week on VNC sessions to various different Unix/Linux machines.
Due to various minor niggles over the years tigervnc is not on my Xmas
card list.
