When choosing Loto numbers I will have quirks such as avoiding an unlucky number which will tilt the advantage towards the objective impartiality of the Lotto bouncing balls. Could Linux help?

I only bet the minimum amount which means I can not buy a lucky dip ticket with the numbers chosen for me at random.

My solution;
        For Lotto numbers

        shuf --input-range=1-40 --head-count=6 | sort -n

        For Powerball numbers

        shuf --input-range=1-10 --head-count=4

Am I writing this from the deck of a super yacht? No, but Linux gives me randomness which evens up the odds a little bit.

Remember the more you gamble the arithmetic grinds you into dust.
