properly using single-width glyphs, for example:

        U+FB04 LATIN SMALL LIGATURE FFL
        U+2473 CIRCLED NUMBER TWENTY
        U+2487 PARENTHESIZED NUMBER TWENTY
        U+24DC CIRCLED LATIN SMALL LETTER M
