Hmm, smells like VNC (http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/).
Or do you want to capture the console?
The biggest problem is security. You are not supposed to be
able to do this :-)
You might be able to hack something like GNU screen or
X-term so that it would listen for requests to get the
screen information.
