Debian recently added ttf-thyromanes to its package list. It's a Unicode font with bold, italic and bold-italic variations in the package. It covers Latin, Greek, Cyrillic and IPA almost completely. It's not hinted nor kerned, so it's a coverage font, not a quality one, but it covers a decent subset of human communication. It was provided to Debian under the GPL, but the upstream author doesn't include a license upstream. (I emailed him personally to get a license.) If anyone else wants to take a look at it, here it is.
