for those of you who don't read [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
It seems that Kenichi Handa (main Emacs Unicode developer) actually wants
to start some coding in cvs now to implement UTF-E as emacs new internal
format (i.e. to replace the MULE format in a later version of gnu emacs).

I'm now ready to do this.  But, from which version we should
branch?  Is the current HEAD rather stable to work on?
Aren't there any on-going rather big works that we had
better wait for being finished?
