[Bruno Haible's <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> mail host seems to be on a blacklist for this mailing list server, so he asked me to post this on his behalf:]
So many new programs and libraries have added significant support for Unicode in the past few months that the Unicode HOWTO has become out of date. Any person who likes experimenting with the bleeding-edge versions of editors, browsers, etc. is welcome to take over the maintenance of the HOWTO. You don't need much prior knowledge. I have to step back because my interests have specialized on a few packages needed for Unicode (glibc, gettext, libiconv).
