Hello,

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask, but...

Sometimes I get e-mail messages in utf8 from M$ clients. I save these
messages from my e-mail client (pine) in a file, and then I try to do a
recode utf8..latin2 on it. This fails. Investigation reveals that the
 message contains sequences like:

 C3 5E DA

There is *always* an 5E character (certainly wrong, since the high bit
should be set) after the introductory UTF8 byte.

Have others seen this? How to fix??

 Regards,
 Mikls
