I generally have good luck with yahoo mail and utf-8, iff I pull down the 'Encoding' menu, and set it explicitly. The web mail page is frame based, and very complex... Maybe they are not associating the character set with each frame. Maybe the browser doesn't understand multiframe meta tags. Maybe the transmission subsystem is corrupting it... The fonts stink and the menus don't work in Greek.
