It can't be used with all fonts. Some fonts looks really ugly without the
LAM-ALEF ligature. But some others look pretty enough, and it looks modern
to some graphic designers and typographers. I've seen a few books and

It's not that common, and many people consider it wrong, I only wanted to
mention that it is being used, and not only in graphic design etc. To me,
that means that LAM-ALEF ligature is not as obligatory as the Unicode
standard tells.
