I am just using CP437. It takes a long time for my home PC to boot Linux,
so I use an MS-DOS terminal program to read emails, browse using lynx,
etc. Lynx's fallback transcription is really great...

(The situation at the office is different. I need to read emails using
almost everything. It goes from pine in Linux console, XTerm or Gnome
terminal, to IMP and Mozilla.)
