I know some from rhus that are active, actually the chair of the Danish
JTC 1 mirror is from rhus. And people active in Linux oriented std stuff
also come from other places than Kbenhavn, but Kbenhavn is the main
place of active people. Maybe 80 % active in Danish ISO standardization
come from Greater Kbenhavn, which holds about 1/3 of the Danish
polulation.

In Danish Linux i18n and l10n it may only be 60 % kbenhavnere... So it
is a little better there. Yes, people could easily participate thru
the internet, but as standardization is kind of high tech and is
generally for more educated people, and the techies get educated
in university cities and also get employment in high tech industries
mostly gathered in the cities, the active people tend to come from
bigger cities.

Actually for those of you who are interested, you can freely
participate on an ad hoc basis in much of the ISO standardization
work. This is done on mailing lists for each of the working groups
and these are in practice open for keen volunteers, even if you
are not affiliated directly with a national standardization org.
There are some formalities, but if you are interested in a
specific topic, I might be able to help you get involved. You could
drop me a mail, if that is the case.

Kind regards
keld
