Yes, when users input complex languages using XIM (X Input Method),
concept of "key release" has no meaning. And, I think XLookupString()
is obsolete because it doesn't support XIM. (At least, for CJK people,
softwares which don't use X{utf8,mb,wc}LookupString are useless, unless
these softwares have their own input methods like Mule and Yudit.)
