I seem to be having a similar issue, at the moment, with Chinese copied from cxterm and pasted into Mozilla (or yudit, or an mlterm window). RH7.1, latest Mozilla, latest yudit, kde. I tried changing the locale for the cxterm with export LANG=zh_CN.GB2312 export LC_ALL=zh_CN.GB2312 but that didn't change anything - except for the locale, of course :) Years ago I had this working, but it is the first time for me to see this particular problem...
