Strange thing, I'm using 2.6.0-test5 curently with the UTF-8 tty patches and a vesafb console.
The good: scrolling the FB is way faster, separate font for each virtual console is nice too, unfortunately no separate keymaps... The strange problem is, though loading fonts works for consoles that are not visible, loading the fonts unicode map doesn't work. Loading the unimap works only if the console is visible. (if you ask how I try to load fonts&maps in unvisible VTs, I've patched mingetty to execute a script instead of showing /etc/issue) -- Damjan Georgievski jabberID: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Linux-UTF8: i18n of Linux on all levels Archive: http://mail.nl.linux.org/linux-utf8/
