I am in the middle of updating PSF console font import/export support in xmbdfed and wanted to ask for opinions about something:

Should xmbdfed export all PSF fonts in Unicode order or should the original order be preserved as much as possible?

I understand that some applications may not use the Unicode table for a reason, in which case, preserving the original order would be important. I just wanted to get a feel for how important it might be to preserve the original order.

BTW, I've been too lazy to check yet, but could someone kindly educate me about the width and height limitations of PSF2 fonts? As a practical matter, are widths greater than 8 pixels now available for console fonts?
