This is really neat. I didn't know that perl has such extensive utf-8 support now (including the whole unicode database). I know perl only from the "Llama book" (Learning Perl, 1997 edition) which neither mentions unicode, nor explains the ord function. BTW uni might be improved by making its input case-insensitive.
