It seems snd-usb-audio doesn't work for this webcam. First I have to
load the module from the command line. I have a logitech pro 5000 on my
other box and snd-usb-audio loads an boot.

Loading snd-usb-audio doesn't help. I am trying to configure Ekiga and
can't find a usb audio input device. With the logitech it's there, usb
device 0x46d:0x8c1

the module loads fine:
kernel: usbcore: registered new driver snd-usb-audio
kernel: EOF in empty packet.
