I have no Quickcam UltraVision, so I can't tell for sure where the problem
comes from.
Could you try setting the parameters trace to 15 (either with 'modprobe
uvcvideo trace=15' or 'echo -n 15 > /sys/modules/uvcvideo/parameters/trace'
when the module is loaded) before plugging the webcam ? Then please send me
all the messages output by the driver to the kernel log, as well as the
device USB descriptors ('lsusb -d 046d: -v' with usbutils >= 0.72 or usbutils
CVS).
