First off thanks very much for this forum & ease of access! I noticed
the Ricoh webcam is not listed on your Supported Devices & thus the
email.
The Sony Vaio SZ3 laptop has a Ricoh camera built in however all the
Linux webcam related searches for this model have turned up zilch.
A good short summary of the camera & issues in terms of Linux
implementations can be found here:
http://avilella.googlepages.com/camera_notes. I also noticed that the
author managed to get a picture using "gphoto2 --auto-detect" however I
am by no means that fortunate.
So you know "modprobe uvcvideo" yields
"Linux video capture interface: v2.00
usbcore: registered new driver uvcvideo
USB Video Class driver (v0.1.0)"
>From what I understand the camera is in fact UVC compliant.
Please be so kind as to point me in the right direction.
Warmest regards
Graeme
