Hello,

When I list the available controls for my Quickcam Pro 5000, I get the
usual Brightness/Contrast/Saturation mapped onto V4L2_CID_BRIGHTNESS,
V4L2_CID_CONTRAST and V4L2_CID_SATURATION. However, all the other
controls are mapped onto *extended* V4L2 controls. I do understand that
Backlight Compensation, Power Line Frequency and Sharpness are actually
(V4L2 speaking) non-standard. However, I am wondering why the others
are not mapped onto V4L2 standard controls. Is there any reason?

I would believe that the following extended controls should actually be
mapped onto standard V4L2 controls :

 "Exposure, Auto" = V4L2_CID_AUTOGAIN
 "Exposure (Absolute)" = V4L2_CID_EXPOSURE
"White Balance Temperature, Auto" = V4L2_CID_AUTO_WHITE_BALANCE
 "White Balance Temperature" = V4L2_CID_GAMMA

Or am I missing something?

-a.
