Hello All, I Just joined this list with the intention of working on still image capture in linux-uvc. I'm working with a quickcam for notebooks pro, and I see someone was working on similar a few months back. Any word on how that went?
Also, considering the v4l2 API does not really have an interface for single image still frame capture, I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on how best to handle that. My application requires capturing a single frame at a very specific time (not a regular interval). I am totally fine with bypassing the v4l layer and interfacing with the driver directly if need be, but I would like to do something with general utility to the most users, not just a hack that only I can use. Perhaps I should join the v4l dev mailing list and see what their thoughts are. Your input is appreciated. Thanks, Thad Phetteplace
