Hello, I have the Creative Live! Cam Video IM and I'm wanting to get it working in Linux. I see that the Live! Cam Optia is supported by the current drivers; should this mean that the Video IM version will work also? I have tried installing the drivers from the Debain testing repository which are labelled as version 0.1.0.svn54-5. Loading the module and plugging in my camera produces these messages in dmesg: Linux video capture interface: v2.00 usbcore: registered new interface driver uvcvideo USB Video Class driver (v0.1.0-c) usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2 usb 2-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
The light on my camera doesn't turn on and tvtime doesn't list any possible video sources (it's looking for /dev/video0 which doesn't exist and I'm not sure if that's what the uvcvideo module should be creating). Any help or advice would be great. I happy to provide any other information on my system if necessary. Thanks, Richard. _______________________________________________ Linux-uvc-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/linux-uvc-devel
