And, sorry for my poor knowledge: what is luvcview? If I can abuse of your patience; can you tell me how you made the camera work, so I can test it? If possible, very detailed, something like: download the trunk, add those lines to this file, change those lines on the other file, etc, etc, and make and make install. Then, use this application to test the webcam (tell me which application). By the way, may the USB reset patch spoil other things? I've been getting the a similiar 'BadWindow' error with Ekiga though. When patched with the USB reset patch, the white balance, contrast and brightness appear to function better. The default setting are a little too low. So, the patch does work, its how it interfaces with other applications that seems to be the problem.
