Hello, The webpage http://linux-uvc.berlios.de/ does not list the webcam Microsoft LifeCam NX-6000 (045e:00f8) as supported device (although it is). Maybe the website maintainer should make an entry for it.
I could compile the uvcvideo module and modprobe it on my system (Fedora 7, 2.6.22.4-65.fc7 kernel) without problems. The webcam works perfectly for me with luvcview (luvcview-20070512), so it should be definitely in the list of supported devices. Unfortunately I cannot use the webcam in Ekiga (2.0.9), although it lists it correctly in the Video Devices configuration section. Maybe somebody encountered the same problem? Anyway, thanks for your great work on this project so far, Best regards, Ingo -- Ingo Feinerer www.logic.at/staff/feinerer P.S.: dmesg output I received: Linux video capture interface: v2.00 usbcore: registered new interface driver uvcvideo USB Video Class driver (v0.1.0) usb 5-5: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3 usb 5-5: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice uvcvideo: Found UVC 1.00 device Microsoft LifeCam NX-6000 (045e:00f8) uvcvideo: Failed to query (135) UVC control 1 (unit 0) : -32 (exp. 26). 3:3:1 : sample bitwidth 24 in over sample bytes 2 3:3:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x84 usbcore: registered new interface driver snd-usb-audio uvcvideo: Button event (1). _______________________________________________ Linux-uvc-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/linux-uvc-devel
