Tom, This code is great. Much more readable than then 6+ other "camera capture" utilities I found on the internet for UVC/V4L2 environments. I am using a Logitech Quickcam Fusion on Ubuntu, and I know the camera is setup fine because other apps can use it. But I get a segfault:
./uvc_stream Using V4L2 device.....: /dev/video0 Resolution............: 640 x 480 frames per second.....: 5 TCP port..............: 8080 motor control TCP port: 8081 Segmentation fault Any ideas? -Geoff On 10/5/07, Tom St <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hello Geoffrey, > The first versions of UVC-streamer are simple enough to get called > "readable": > > * http://naaa.de/uvc_streamer.htm > * http://naaa.de/programme/uvc_streamer/uvc_streamer_2007_07 > _09_22.20.32.tgz > * For the current development look at: > http://mjpg-streamer.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/mjpg-streamer/ > * To check out the sourcecode of the current development, issue the > command: > svn co > https://mjpg-streamer.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/mjpg-streamer > mjpg-streamer > * Or try to look at luvcview > (http://mxhaard.free.fr/spca50x/Investigation/uvc/luvcview- > 20070512.tar.gz), > this is where I started. > > Kind regards, > Tom > > Geoffrey Plitt schrieb: > > > hi! is there any sample code i can start with to learn the UVC linux > > video usage? > > > > i'm thinking a "hello world" app for UVC would access the camera and > > just save frames as raw images to a folder or something. > > > > -geoff > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > > > > _______________________________________________ > > Linux-uvc-devel mailing list > > [email protected] > > https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/linux-uvc-devel > > > > _______________________________________________ > Linux-uvc-devel mailing list > [email protected] > https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/linux-uvc-devel >
