Hi Laurent, I've used this camera on Windows XP without any problem. My main interest is to use Logitech cameras on Linux, though. New Logitech cameras using SPCA527 controller (QuickCam Pro 9000, QuickCam Pro for Notebooks and QuickCam Communicate Deluxe) are supposedly free of this problem. My advice is to return QuickCam Pro and buy one of the above. Regards, Paul Jurczak

Hi, I've bought a logitech quickcam pro 5000 (model 2006, 046d:08ce) today and experienced some issues. So a question comes to my mind. How this webcam works with other UVC implementation? Both MacOSX and Vista (maybe XP too) have a UVC generic driver that should (according to logitech) works with this webcam. Does anyone tested with these other implementations? Does this webcam suffers the same problem that with the linux-uvc driver? If no, should it be possible to guess a fix from what the other drivers do?
