Make sure you're using Ekiga 2.0.3 or newer (from the top of my head). 
Upgrading to the latest version won't hurt. Check that you selected V4L2 and 
not V4L in the Ekiga configuration dialog. Does the kernel log report 
anything wrong when you run Ekiga ?
