Thanks Laurent, With luvcview -f yuv I got the video! Cool!
but It's still not working with gstreamer, when running gstreamer-properties to select the webcam as the video in, it outputs: gstreamer-properties-Message: Error running pipeline 'Video for Linux (v4l)': Could not get/set settings from/on resource. [v4l_calls.c(409): gst_v4l_set_chan_norm (): /pipeline0/v4lsrc4: Error setting the channel/norm settings: Argument invalide] Any idea? 2007/10/22, Laurent Pinchart <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > Hi Joel, > > On Sunday 21 October 2007, Joel Dimbernat wrote: > > Sorry, here's everything > > > > I installed uvc from svn, loaded the module and tried luvcview. > > Here is the output: > > > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] luvcview-20070512]$ ./luvcview > > luvcview version 0.2.1 > > Video driver: x11 > > A window manager is available > > video /dev/video0 > > Unable to set format: 22. > > Init v4L2 failed !! exit fatal > > Your webcam doesn't support the MJPEG format that luvcview defaults to. > Try > selecting YUV with > > luvcview -f yuv > > > the dmesg output: > > > > Linux video capture interface: v2.00 > > uvcvideo: Found UVC 1.00 device Chicony USB 2.0 Camera (04f2:b008) > > usbcore: registered new interface driver uvcvideo > > USB Video Class driver (v0.1.0) > > > > and now the updated lsusb > [snip] > > Thanks. > > Best regards, > > Laurent Pinchart >
