Thank you Laurent for this information, it is in fact because of an v4l-dvb installation I have. Searching around the net for some hours, I have not found any solution how to make uvcvideo and v4l-dvb to work together. I have a virgin Ubuntu gutsy ..386-generic (exept the v4l-dvb modules) Do you have any clues?
