Hi everybody,

it's been a long time since the last SVN commit announcement. Most recent
commits were too small improvements to be officially announced on the list.
Today's commit is different: the Linux UVC driver now supports the built-in
iSight cameras.

iSight support in the driver doesn't include firmware loading. You will need
the ift-extract and ift-load userspace tools to extract the firmware from the
MacOS X driver (we can't redistribute it for obvious legal reasons) and to
load the firmware to the device. Those tools can be found at
http://bersace03.free.fr/ift/

Thanks to Étienne Bersac for working on iSight support and getting the patch
and userspace tools in shape. Thanks also to Ronald Bultje and Ivan Zlatev
for reverse-engineering the iSight proprietary video transmission protocol
and working on the first versions of the patch.

Have fun.

Laurent Pinchart
