hi list,

i've installed the linux-uvc driver distribution to use with my Quickcam
Pro 9000, from SVN, on my linux 2.6.22 kernel.

while picture quality is excellent (for a webcam especially), i'm a bit
disappointed with frame rate compared to my other cameras, especially in
low-light conditions. in a well lit environment, i get around ~15 FPS while
when the light is low, only 8-10 FPS (tested with luvcview) at 320x240.

for what it's worth, the box promised a relatively unrealistic ~30fps.

are there any plans to expose this automatic light calibration as a param
accessible to modprobe? i'd like very much to not have this automagical
calibration at work at all times.

cheers,
