Yep. I finally filed a report to Skype today via: http://support.skype.com/index.php?_a=tickets&_m=submit It is a bug that has bothered me for awhile too. For reference, my report follows. The microphone works great as a input device but Skype incorrectly shows the device in the dropdown for output devices too.
