Hello Laureant,

Thanks for the quick reaction. (Although I had to read it off the web
archives: your ISP is being blocked at our site.)

I have produced some logs when passing "trace=0xff" to the module on the
command line. It's got very long, and I don't know what may be interesting
and what not. Therefore instead of attaching it the e-mail I've made it
available at http://optics.szfki.kfki.hu/~gabrisa/outgoing/syslog-04f2:b021

The logs were recorded when I was using luvcvideo and trying to use amsn.

Amsn was runnig in the interval: 14:45:27 -> 14:45:46
ending up with these errors:
ioctl: VIDIOC_S_CTRL(id=9963776;value=25536): Input/output error
ioctl: VIDIOC_S_CTRL(id=9963777;value=32768): Input/output error
Not a JPEG file: starts with 0x3a 0xd7
Oops: malloc_video_bufs is 1 (expected 0)
[utils/linux/capture/libng/grab-ng.c:malloc_bufs_check:235]
Oops: processes is 1 (expected 0)
[utils/linux/capture/libng/convert.c:process_check:179]

Luvcvideo was running within 3 intervals: 14:44:47 -> 14:44:51, 14:46:05
-> 14:46:08, and for a while in the begining but I forgot to document it
I was getting the error: "hmm FW error, not seq DCT ??"
for apparently every frame.
Further, the output JPEGS have "Invalid SOS parameters for sequential
JPEG"

I tried to remove all other messages from the syslog, however, I had the
old webcam plugged in, and that generated some v4l messages also.

One more thing that just came into my mind: I have disabled the ehci
module in the kernel as it was causing problems with the old webcam.

I hope you can figure out what is the problem here...

Aurel
