Guys:

I compiled the SVN branch of UVC, I got kernel message to my Webcam like
this:

[ 101.212000] usb 1-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address
2
[ 101.428000] usb 1-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
[ 101.900000] usbcore: registered new interface driver snd-usb-audio
[ 101.920000] Linux video capture interface: v2.00
[ 102.012000] sn9c102: V4L2 driver for SN9C1xx PC Camera Controllers v1:
1.44
[ 102.012000] usb 1-2: SN9C105 PC Camera Controller detected (vid:pid
0x045E:0x00F5)
[ 102.116000] usb 1-2: No supported image sensor detected for this bridge
[ 102.116000] usbcore: registered new interface driver sn9c102

My system is Ubuntu 7.10 with 2.6.22 kernel.

After these messages, I didn't see /dev/video0 appear. And Camoramo told me
that it can't find /dev/video0 either. And I also did lsmod:

...
> videodev 29312 1 sn9c102
> v4l1_compat 15364 1 videodev
> v4l2_common 18432 2 sn9c102,videodev
> snd_usb_audio 81024 0
> snd_usb_lib 17920 1 snd_usb_audio
> snd_hwdep 10244 1 snd_usb_audio
> ...
>

It seems something happened (driver loaded), but /dev/video0 is missing thus
no further test could be made.

Hope someone could fix it soon!

Best wishes,
Zhenqing
