I have no Ubuntu box using uvc or the webcam. If it's kernel related, I have had 2 Pro 9000's running under several 2.6.24-git and 2.6.25-rc kernels, latest 2.6.25-rc4-git3. openSUSE 10.3 and 11.0 Alpha2 in each case. uvc svn Revision: 193 currently. When I first installed 10.3 on a relative's box with 128M on board Unichrome video, I got camera freezes and crashes on accasions in skype. Installing a NVidia FX5500 solved that.
