Hi Laurent, UVCers,

while you're working on getting linux-uvc integrated into the kernel
(I'm aware you're waiting for some V4L2 API changes), let me tell you
that Fedora has recently integrated the linux-uvc driver into their
kernel packages. (Fedora are not keen on separate kernel-module
packages. Policy is: If it's worth delivering, push it upstream.)
Possibly it is therefore also packaged with RHEL, the commercial branch
of the distribution. Just to let you know.

As of kernel package 2.6.24.2-3 of Feb 15 2008, linux-uvc is
integrated, albeit as a patch(!).

But while this is the case, I think it's time to hurry up and clean up
the code. :-) E.g. the module (in Fedora) isn't telling me, what
version it is! I will follow up with some suggestions I think are
useful.

Best regards,
Moritz
