Hi Laurent, UVCers, while you're working on getting linux-uvc integrated into the kernel (I'm aware you're waiting for some V4L2 API changes), let me tell you that Fedora has recently integrated the linux-uvc driver into their kernel packages. (Fedora are not keen on separate kernel-module packages. Policy is: If it's worth delivering, push it upstream.) Possibly it is therefore also packaged with RHEL, the commercial branch of the distribution. Just to let you know.
As of kernel package 2.6.24.2-3 of Feb 15 2008, linux-uvc is integrated, albeit as a patch(!). But while this is the case, I think it's time to hurry up and clean up the code. :-) E.g. the module (in Fedora) isn't telling me, what version it is! I will follow up with some suggestions I think are useful.
