Hi Laurent, thank you for the info; indeed I tried to compile the released package but was unsuccesful. I will try again with the SVN version. However, today I tried the Optia with a Windows machine, where the exposure control is available and can be manually overriden. Unfortunately, it seems that images under bright sunlight are overexposed also at the minimum exposure value. So, the camera was actually (automatically) adjusting for the minimum exposure when I tried it under linux, but this is not enough. Probably the camera sensor is somehow "optimized" for low light conditions. I'll try to get a different model, or maybe I will just try to put some filter in front of it... Thanks again, Moreno. -- Moreno Marzolla INFN Sezione di Padova, via Marzolo 8, 35131 PADOVA, Italy EMail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Phone: +39 049 8277103 WWW : http://www.dsi.unive.it/~marzolla Fax : +39 049 8756233 _______________________________________________ Linux-uvc-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/linux-uvc-devel
