This works fo the SPC1000 webcam - thanks, but I think I've also updated to the
new mplayer, or underlaying library.

This was excelent article, kind of mad and confused but really good.
Unfortunately I am not that paranoid and most of all I need a solution to help
my friends use this app as they want to.

Anyway, I think Skype shows that comercials companies are always one head ahead
and we can not do anything for now. I hope it could change in future, but
really doubt it, because if you have the money you have the power.

So is there an alternative - no, and not using skype is also not an
alternative, because how could I speak to my parents and friends and relatives?

Anyway, I want to thank you, Nikolaus, for your support and may be there is
someone else on the list who has simlar configurations and can help.

Once again two persons have nvidia and ati cards with proprietary drivers and
skype is not working with the webcam, so I would like to ask you if you are
using such kind of hard/software to share some experience with me

thank yuou in advance

regards
