What about changing your distribution? I personally do not like
distributions because of that: if someone decides that the kernel will
be stuck on 2.6.10, users can do nothing...
Or you could be radical and try to compile a kernel yourself,
but I can not give any warrant that you'll succeed. You should really
know what you're doing.
