I don't think so, but I can't find out right now - the camera is working and I cannot reproduce the failure :-/ This appears to be an intermittent hardware issue rather than kernel/driver, although the failures seem to have become much more frequent with 2.6.25. But that may be a coincidence ... I was using mplayer because it issues some error messages that might help diagnosing, whereas skype doesn't. What I noticed was that whenever mplayer failed, it was using | ========================================================================== | Opening video decoder: [ffmpeg] FFmpeg's libavcodec codec family | Selected video codec: [ffmjpeg] vfm: ffmpeg (FFmpeg MJPEG decoder) | ========================================================================== whereas whenever it works, it prints it's using a raw video stream. _______________________________________________ Linux-uvc-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/linux-uvc-devel
