Yes, unplugging the camera didn't work this time I had to rmmod and modprobe the driver. I have to say that I'm a bit confused. If this was a hardware issue by unplugging the camera, it should get fixed ( at least it has worked in previous occasions), but this time I unplugged the camera several times and it didn't help. Also in previous upgrades the camera would still work for a little wile, this time it failed immediately. > During startup I get > > 8.877539] Linux video capture interface: v2.00 > <6>[ 8.962671] pci_hotplug: PCI Hot Plug PCI Core version: 0.5 > <7>[ 9.078689] uvcvideo 1-1.1:1.0: usb_probe_interface > <7>[ 9.078694] uvcvideo 1-1.1:1.0: usb_probe_interface - got id > <6>[ 9.078717] uvcvideo: Found UVC 1.00 device <unnamed> (046d:08c1) > <6>[ 9.264254] shpchp: Standard Hot Plug PCI Controller Driver > version: 0.4 > <7>[ 10.087158] usb 1-1.1: modprobe timed out on ep0in len=0/26 > <3>[ 10.087165] uvcvideo: Failed to query (135) UVC control 1 (unit 0) > : -110 (exp. 26). > <6>[ 10.351115] input: PC Speaker as /devices/platform/pcspkr/input/input7 > > snip > > 11.343947] usb 1-1.1: modprobe timed out on ep0in len=0/26 > <3>[ 11.343952] uvcvideo: Failed to query (129) UVC control 1 (unit 0) > : -110 (exp. 26). > <3>[ 11.352475] uvcvideo: Failed to initialize the device (-5). > <6>[ 11.361480] usbcore: registered new interface driver uvcvideo > <6>[ 11.371461] USB Video Class driver (v0.1.0) > > > This is on SUSE 11.0 with 2.6.28-rc6, but it was happening on 10.3 as well. > > HTH > Brian > > > It looks pretty much like what I'm getting.
