Could you try the latest version of the uvcvideo driver (either from 2.6.29-rc1 or the linuxtv.org Mercurial repository) ? Your problem should be fixed there. Alternatively, setting the quirks parameter to 2 (echo 2 > /sys/modules/uvcvideo/parameters/quirks) before connecting the camera should work around the problem with your current version of the driver.
