Thanks for the report. I've updated the supported devices list on the website.

Does the monitor have extra USB ports ? If so the SMC devices are probably 
what they claim to be, USB hubs.

The audio function is part of the camera device (05a9:2649) and is handled by 
the usbaudio driver. You should contact the alsa-devel mailing list for help.
